The Peacemaker Celebrate Lit Book Tour & Giveaway

My Thoughts

The Peacemaker, 60 Day Enneagram Devotional by author Elisabeth Bennet is an unusual and delightful devotional. It is made for Peacemakers and those who love them. Interesting to think that there are some people that care not for peacemakers, but unfortunately, yes, there are some.

Have you heard of The Enneagram Scale? I was introduced to it several years ago. It is a fascinating study on an individual’s character traits and why they do what they do and why they act the way they act or respond the way they respond. When I found out Elisabeth Bennett had written devotionals for the different Enneagram types, I was intrigued.

I enjoyed reading this devotional even though I am not one hundred percent certain about these personality type tests. Each day is short enough to help jumpstart one’s day no matter your Enneagram type. Yes, this is geared to Peacemakers, but it sheds lights on them, too.

I love how she breaks it down into six 10-day topics, including uniqueness, weakness, pain points, strength, and reactions of Nines during times of growth and stress. While I myself am not a Nine (of course, I took the test), I think reading about others’ traits is eye-opening. It helps me learn how they relate to others, and it helps me empathize with their weaknesses and encourage their strengths.

I recommend this if you enjoy reading psychology and personality books. A copy of this book was provided by Celebrate Lit, but I was not under any obligation to write a review. All opinions are strictly mine. It receives a 4 star review from me.

Endorsement for The Peacemaker

“Elisabeth has written a delightful devotional full of important information for those who want to grow in their own self-awareness and relationship with Christ. I highly recommend reading this book so you can experience transformation on a much deeper level that will bring about the change you desire in life.” —Beth McCord, YourEnneagramCoach.com, author of 10 Enneagram books

“I have been craving a devotional that would not only strengthen my relationship with Christ, but also authentically ‘get me’ as an Enneagram four. This simply knocks that out of the water. I find that, as a four, it’s hard to conform and give in to a generic devotional, and this is anything but that. Beautifully constructed for my four heart.” —Audrey Bailey, artist, mental heatlh advocate, creator of Brush and Barley digital brand (@BrushandBarley)
